The correlation between ACLS and BLS
BLS is focused on maintaining the circulation of oxygenated blood during a cardiac emergency. ACLS is focused on rectifying the condition that caused the cardiac emergency.
ACLS does not include BLS
BLS is a prerequisite for ACLS. Although both classes are allowed be taught together, it is recommended that you have your BLS certification before you take the ACLS class.
