FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where are your CPR and First Aid classes held?

Our main training center is located in Port Lavaca, TX. We primarily serve students in Victoria, TX area and surrounding communities in Southeast Texas.

Do you offer online CPR certification?

Yes, we provide blended learning options. Some classes are taught live via Zoom. We offer a blended learning format where you complete the cognitive portion online and schedule an in-person skills session. This is a great option for both initial certification and CPR certification renewal.

Do you offer CPR classes for children and babies?

Yes, we offer comprehensive training that covers adult, child, and infant CPR. Our courses are designed to teach you the specific skills and techniques needed to perform life-saving measures on all age groups, including pediatric first aid.

Which certification or class do I need?

The right course for you depends on your profession and specific needs:

  • CPR and First Aid courses are ideal for child care and daycare providers, construction workers, and anyone requiring basic life-saving skills training. The class also meets or exceeds all CPR/First Aid regulatory requirements for US Coast Guard (USCG) mariners/captains’ licenses.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is a specialized form of CPR designed for medical and dental personnel.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are advanced-level courses for experienced medical and dental professionals.

Do you offer Basic Life Support, and what is the difference between a CPR class and a BLS certificat

Yes, we offer Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, also known as CPR for Healthcare Professionals. While a standard CPR class is for the general public, BLS is designed for medical, dental, and first responder professionals and includes advanced skills such as critical pulse checks, specialized responses for children and infants, and management of secondary cardiac arrest. It is important to note that BLS certification does not include First Aid training.

Do you offer ACLS, and what is the difference between an ACLS certification and a BLS certification?

Yes, we offer Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. While BLS focuses on maintaining oxygenated blood circulation during a cardiac emergency, ACLS is for experienced healthcare professionals and takes it further by providing in-depth training on comprehensive algorithms for cardiovascular emergencies. It addresses the root cause of the emergency and equips you with the advanced knowledge needed to manage complex scenarios. Please note that BLS certification is a prerequisite for our ACLS class.

Do you offer PALS, and what is the difference between a PALS certification and a BLS certification?

Yes, we offer Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. PALS is designed for experienced healthcare professionals to handle critical situations involving children and infants. While BLS focuses on foundational life support skills to maintain circulation, PALS goes a step further by addressing the specific conditions and advanced techniques that lead to a pediatric emergency. Please note that BLS certification is a prerequisite for all of our PALS classes.

How long are your classes?

The duration of our classes depends on the specific course:

  • First Aid/CPR/AED classes are approximately four hours.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers classes are approximately three hours.
  • Recertification classes are typically shorter.

Do you provide official certifications?

Yes, we are proud to be aligned with Always CPR Training Center, an authorized American Heart Association (AHA) training center in Melissa, TX, USA.
